Scouts
The following programs are offered after school at various times throughout the year. Information about each of the afterschool programs will generally be sent home two to three weeks before the program is scheduled to begin. All programs take place at St. Augustine's. There is a nominal cost for these programs that has been established by the program sponsor to pay for supplies, instructors etc. These programs are designed to supplement the academic experience but are completely voluntary.
Boy Scouts of America - The parish community of St. Augustine's has a very active Boy Scout program, Troop 79. From first grade though young adulthood, the Boy Scouts " provide a program for young people that builds character, trains them in the responsibilities of participating citizenship, and develops personal fitness."
Girl Scouts of America - The Mission of the Girl Scouts is to build girls of courage, confidence, and character, who make the world a better place. Open to girls ages 5 through 17, through scouting girls discover the fun, friendship, and power of girls working and playing together. Through a myriad of enriching experiences, such as extraordinary field trips, sports skill-building clinics, community service projects, cultural exchanges, and environmental stewardships, girls grow into courageous and strong individuals.
